Calling in sick

It feels like forever ago that I was calling into work sick and stayed home and did the things that made me feel better quick! Last Saturday was my grandmas 86th bday party, we got ready to go and off we went. On the way there Preston was a bit of a mess, he had a bit of milk and then just looked out the window. When we got to her house my entire family was there. Preston got scared with all the noise and started crying and only wanted to be held by me or Sean. After that things just went down hill, he was not his usual happy baby. I should have known things where only about to get worse.
He was not impressed I tired to take a picture. My poor Grandma

The whole ride home he cried (my grandma lives 30 mins away) so I was super worried. As soon as we arrived at home and in the drive way he threw up. I thought it was just because he had cried so but that was not the case. I put him in his PJ's and was giving him milk while he was drifting away. His eyes where about to close when all of a sudden he opened his eyes and started crying. I quickly got up and held him upright, within a few seconds he threw up on me on the floor on the rocking chair, it was everywhere. I called out for Sean to come give me a hand but he had just stepped out to go to Safeway. I took off his PJ's ran his bath and changed my clothes. I gave him a quick bath and as I was putting his PJ's on he was falling asleep. I had music playing (Justin timberlake!) to distract him and even through all the noise my sweet baby was falling asleep. He then quickly fell asleep in my arms. That night consisted of Sean and I changing P's clothes, bed sheets, our own clothes, and cleaning up the floors several times. He finally stopped throwing up at around 1:30am, I went to bed at 3 am giving him 5 ml of milk every 4 mins. We slept on the floor in his room because we were worried he he would throw up while he was sleeping. It was a rough night.

Preston Starting to Feel better

This week has been equally as difficult. We took him to the doctor and he told us that he has the stomach flu and we just have to see it through. That's so hard as a mom because he's so little and its hard to see him in pain and not be able to help him. He's getting better but this mama is tired! I started feeling sick the other day and when I woke up I thought "I'm calling in sick today" haha yeah right. My job is 24hours a day, no sick days, and no vacation time(unless everyone goes)! One day Sean texted me while I was in the shower and since I didn't answer he said " are you sleeping on the job" lol I wish!
Even though this week has been rough and I've been thrown up on too many times and I've done way to much laundry in one week, I wouldnt change it for the world. The precious moments when P falls asleep in my arms and when he wakes up from his nap and gives me a big smile or when he looks at me with those big brown eyes and says mama make all this worth it. I think I'll survive without sick days.
Preston's growing so fast and learning news things everyday. I am lucky to be able to spend this time with him. My mom told me that my grandma would always say that when a new baby is born, a mother born (sounds better in Spanish!) which I totally agree. Preston and I are learning together and at times it can be challenging but then I share those sweet moments with my boy that only I will remember and cherish.

When im feeling down I like to buy clothes so
I did just that, I bought P some new clothes!
Im sure it made him feel better:)

The man of my dreams...

It has been 9 months since Sean and I were married! Time goes by so fast. Yesterday was our 9 month mark, we did not do anything because both of us have been studying for finals. I only have one but poor Sean has been studying for 5! yikes, he's such a good man. We don't spend to much time together because school is OC (out of control) so needless to say I am so excited for the summer! We are leaving for Utah on tuesday for a friends wedding and it couldn't have come at a better time, we need some time together after this crazy semester!
Best Day of my life!
Today we had ward conference and it was so nice, Sean and I are both serving with the youth so today we had the opportunity to hear Pres. Thomas talk to them. I was telling Sean that if felt so weird sitting on the opposite side of things. Let me explain, I remember sitting in a meeting just like the one we had today but as a youth and I remembered how I was at that age....awkward! I was such an awkward kid! haha it made me laugh just thinking about it. I had the chance to talk to Pres. Thomas and at the end he said "Ingrid you are an adult" haha friendly reminder I think . Overall I am grateful for wonderful leaders that help me become better. I am also so grateful for Sean, for all the hard work he puts into studying so that we may have a good future. I married the best man for me!

iSeitz

I have always struggled with finding a username for websites, its seems as if they all ask you to have one if you're signing up! So I always try to be clever with my usernames and what ends up happening is that I always forget it and I either have to go through a whole process to get that username back or I just create another account and end up forgetting that username as well! So last summer I not only married the man of my dreams BUT I received the BEST username ever! My new last name is Seitz (pronounced Sights) and when you add my first initial I, you get iSeitz! I laughed so hard when I realized it, so hence my blog name. Clever, I think so!

With that being said I am not only happy for my clever username but mainly for my Sean. He's such an amazing man. We met about 6 years ago and at that time I just saw him as a friend and my mother would always say "Ingrid you should date Sean" and I'd always respond to her saying that we are just friends. He left on his mission and I wrote him, I was not a faithful writer but I'd send him letters and packages here and there. Then I left on my mission when he had about a year left on his mission. He was such a faithful writer. He wrote me every week while I was in Argentina. They say distance makes the heart grow fonder and I believe that. Sean and I dated for a long month and a half (haha) and bam we were engaged! We were married 4 months later. Every day I see him I feel so lucky that I married my best friend. I can tell him anything and we have so much fun together, he brings out the best in me and he makes me smile. I am the luckiest girl ever, who can say their husband makes them breakfast and lunch everyday? Yup im spoiled!
